Façade Improvement Grants
The City of Port Huron has taken an exciting step to uplift its downtown by dedicating $100,000 of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to a robust façade improvement program. This initiative, managed by the Downtown Development Authority (DDA), was designed to support the beautification and upkeep of downtown properties, enhancing the overall look and feel of the district.
Through the program, the DDA Board awarded matching grants of up to $10,000 each, benefiting 15 local businesses and property owners. These grants have enabled business and property owners to tackle essential façade projects, from fresh paint and signage to restoring architectural details, all contributing to a more vibrant and attractive downtown.
